About Carrie
Carrie has been working with endurance athletes since 2006, first as an online coach and then also as a physical therapist. She has coached primarily amateur triathletes, runners, and cyclists of all levels of experience and abilities. As a PT and coach, she has worked with many athletes returning to their sport after an injury.
After years of coaching and treating, Carrie stepped away for a couple of years to start a new journey-long distance hiking and moving to full time living in a van with her dog, Taj. In 2021 she completed a through hike of the Appalachian Trail and then in 2022 hiked the state of CA on the Pacific Crest Trail. In between trails she built out a Ram Promaster van to live, work, and play in. Carrie and Taj are currently traveling and working in the US.
In her educational pursuits, Carrie earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in English from Ashland University in Ohio. She has also completed extensive graduate level education in exercise physiology at Ohio University and completed a variety of courses in meditation, exercise, and manual therapies. She is a certified USA Triathlon Coach and a certified personal trainer through NASM. Carrie has also trained in craniosacral therapy, Realization Process meditation teaching, selective functional movement assessments (SFMA), running video analysis, metabolic testing, muscle energy techniques, and dry needling.
Carrie also has extensive experience as an athlete, competing in triathlon races ranging from sprint to Ironman and running races from 5k up to 50 mile trail runs.
