Meditation Sessions

 

Meditation comes in many forms, and all things can be a meditation.  Our sessions may include exercises, stretches, myofascial release, breathing, journaling exercises, and practices of quiet awareness (what most may envision when they think of meditation).  In all of these practices, embodiment is the foundation.  This is our way of helping your to learn to tap into your body’s innate wisdom.

These sessions are an amazing compliment to our Coaching Packages and Customized Training Plans.  Learning to listen to your body can improve self-awareness, reduce the risk of injury, help you learn to navigate obstacles that may arise in training or on race day, and improve your ability to manage stressors.

Along with training, these sessions can be beneficial for those recovering from injuries.  These are also a wonderful compliment to any existing treatments you may be receiving.  Like our Craniosacral Therapy sessions,  these can help you activate your parasympathetic nervous system to enhance recovery.  We feel it is a way to create space for your body to work as designed.

 

Meditation Session Options

 

Prior to the first session, you’ll fill out a questionnaire so we can learn about your meditation experience (no previous experience required) and goals.  If you would like to share this experience with a group, we’ll have each group member fill out the questionnaire.  Group size can be up to six individuals.  If you have a larger group, please contact Carrie for options.
